WOCUP 2026 brought together leading scholars and policy experts in political science and international affairs to examine how domestic political dynamics and shifting international pressures shaped Ukraine’s wartime diplomacy and prospects for peace. Through an opening keynote address and two expert roundtables, participants assessed the influence of internal governance challenges, public accountability, and elite politics on Ukrainian foreign policy, as well as the implications of evolving U.S. and international approaches to conflict resolution. The discussions highlighted the constraints facing Ukraine’s leadership, the risks of externally driven peace proposals, and the long-term consequences for Ukraine’s sovereignty and democratic resilience.
